Join the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow as it journeys around Australia, delivering hot and tasty comic treats to audiences near and far. With a curated line-up of comedy legends and fresh faces from Australia and beyond, the Roadshow has all your comedy bases covered (no joke) – all in one side-splitting show!
For almost three decades the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has been touring far and wide, bringing giggles, guffaws and good times to Australia - and now it's Hamilon's turn!
Experience the fun of Australia’s largest comedy festival in your own backyard. Grab your mates and get on board the Roadshow
David Quirk: Seen in a bathtub in the nude with Josh Thomas’ in Please Like Me, with Celia Pacquola and Luke McGregor in Rosehaven or taking the AUX chord off you at a house party, David Quirk’s been around and probably will be for a bit more too if the sun doesn’t kill him (he’s pale). He’s won some awards for his comedy (some deserved) and if things work out going forward, he may again
Brett Blake: The man, the mullet, the legend. A
whip-smart, high-spirited stand up who has performed across Australia.
His
unpretentious look belies a vulnerability and willingness to explore
complex issues on stage. His material runs the gamut of living with
dyslexia to truck licenses, and he is the only comic who physically
built some of the venues he has performed in.
Brett has starred as a
guest on ABC TV’s Question Everything, Spicks and
Specks and New Zealand TV3’s 7 Days. He has
regularly appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Galas,
stolen scenes in The Tourist (Stan) and Binge’s The
Twelve and held his own alongside Shaquille O’Neal and Dustin
Martin in separate ad campaigns.
His comedy special Bogan Genius was
released in 2022 on Paramount + and you can catch his latest special Go
Hard or Go Home on his YouTube channel, which has been racking up tens
of thousands of views from around the world.
Still, the mullet runs
deep
Henry Jan: Henry won the 2023 Australia Raw Comedy Competition. He is a confident nerd that enjoys the absurdities of his everyday life and the nuances that make him giggle. He loves to delve into his experiences with family and his struggles to comprehend normal life while being cheeky with the audience.
Jo Gowda: Jo Gowda is an Indian-born, Australia
comedian who has mastered the art of turning cultural confusion into
comedy gold.
With a sharp tongue and unfiltered perspective, she digs
into everything from nosy relatives to marriage disasters, immigration
realities, and the joy of being misunderstood in two countries at once.
Nat Harris & hannah Camilleri: Barb and Jan, the
flustered Year 8 teachers, aka Hannah Camilleri and Nat Harris,
return to the stage for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Roadshow.
Their debut sketch show Pet-Nat + Han ah Chocolat
won the Golden Gibbo Award and earned a 5 star review in The Age,
with the reviewer dubbing them “the next Gina Riley and Jane
Turner”.
Deliciously wicked and completely unhinged.
