HPAC and NCM Presents: The Librarian - A Bookish Circus Adventure
Get ready for some school holiday fun with The Librarian!
At first glance, Paul-Émile Dumoulin seems like just a regular librarian. He is serious, proud and very orderly. Every book is in its place on his impeccable shelves. The only problem? As soon as Paul-Émile gets his nose in a book, reality disappears, giving way to the slightly crazy worlds he discovers between thepages.
On his adventures, the very sensible librarian metamorphoses. He suddenly turns into strange and silly characters who perform acrobatics, balancing, juggling, break dancing and beatboxing. Just how far will reading take him?
This show blends clowning, physical theatre and the circus arts. It invites young audiences to discover the passion of reading and the power of the imagination, which whisks readers away to faraway lands, on an adventure, or into a romance or thriller.

HPAC and the Greater Hamilton Library Present: The Australian Dream? with Tim Ross
The Australian Dream?
From the ‘burbs, to the bush,
to the inner city, Australians are obsessed with the idea of home and
the dream of home ownership.
Architecture and design enthusiast Tim Ross grew up in the suburbs, and ever since he was 8, when he found himself drawn to a family friends’ very groovy conversation pit, he has been thinking about homes and what makes a good one.
In The Australian Dream? Tim Ross casts his discerning eye across the archival treasures of our much-loved public libraries and uncovers the telling images that reveal a multi-decade story of Australian homes - how they’re sold to us, why we buy them, and how we make them our own. Ross explores the reasons why home ownership is such an all-consuming distraction among Australians and uncovers some of the unique and special ways we have built in this place.
A funny and factual talk based on 18 months of research, it includes a selection of new cinematic style films produced specially for this project. One tells the never-before-heard story of the 1980s home designed by Glenn Murcutt for celebrated artist Ken Done - a building full of the optimism of those times.
Another spotlights Winter Park, a ground breaking early -1970s cluster housing development by architect Graeme Gunn and Merchant Builders in the Melbourne suburb of Doncaster, where a group of homeowners still foster a sense of community around shared spaces and a respect for the natural beauty of the Australian landscape.
The boom of architect-designed homes for the masses is also told through the story of Nino Sydney and his iconic Beachcomber home, delivered for the price of two cars.
Fast-forwarding to today, Tim goes in search of new housing models and finds Nightingale, a people-first housing development company where community harmony and environmental values are more important than profit and loss.
Australia is a nation that is undeniably fixated on property, but increasingly the headlines are about housing scarcity, affordability, and mortgage pain. For many Australians, owning a home now seems like an unattainable dream. So, what can we learn from our past to help solve the problems of the future, and how can we reimagine the Australian Dream?
This is Tim Ross doing what he does best: telling human stories anchored by his passion for Australian design, previously showcased in his ABC TV shows Designing a Legacy and Streets Of Your Town.
The Australian Dream? is presented in partnership with the National Library of Australia, State Library of Queensland, State Library Victoria, State Library of New South Wales and State Library of Western Australia.
Enjoy some conmplimentary light finger food and drinks at bar prices from 6:15pm

HPAC and Circle Music presents: Keith Potger’s Celebrating the Seekers – 60 Years Show
Keith Potger’s solo tribute to the group he helped to form back in 1962 covers the songs, the stories and the influences that shaped The Seekers in their rise to international fame.
CELEBRATING THE SEEKERS – 60 Years is an audio-visual treat, with rare footage and still photos of the group.
His 12-string guitar was an integral part of their sound and being the arranger of the vocal harmonies, he had a unique place in the group.
During his performance Keith pays a special tribute to his colleague and dear friend of 60 years, the late and great JUDITH DURHAM.
Keith is known to countless fans and this is obvious in the welcome given to him by audiences that have enjoyed his performances of CELEBRATING THE SEEKERS – 60 Years.
This special program contains some timeless favourites from The Seekers, some beautiful original ballads from his three solo CDs and a few hits from the ‘60s to the ‘80s that influenced the group and appeal to the generation who grew up playing SEEKERS albums at home or in the car. Throughout his show, Keith shares stories and amusing anecdotes from almost 60 years on the international music scene.
Keith unfailingly delivers up-beat, heart-warming events that leave audiences reliving their fondest memories while sharing the joy that is a hallmark of Keith Potger’s solo concerts.

Regional Arts Victoria, Na Djinang Circus & HPAC present: Of The Land On Which We Meet
We are not the first – nor will we be the last – to walk on this land.
Walking on stone and cement it can be hard to remember what it feels
like to have earth
beneath our feet.
What does it mean to be where we are?
What do we, as 21st century
Australians, think it means to be "on Country"?
By opening up the acknowledgement of Country and taking a closer look
within it, we
search for a way to address the possible lack of
connection contemporary Australians
have with the spirituality of the
land.
Of The Land On Which We Meet follows the journey of three
contemporary Australian
circus artists with distinct relationships
with Country; an indigenous Australian, a
descendant of migrants, and
a descendant of colonial settlers.
Using physical representation within Na Djinang Circus’ signature tone
and style of
Indigenous forms merged with Western mediums, Of The
Land On Which We Meet hopes
to re-discover a connection we once had.
Join this cultural journey on Country with 60,000 years of history, spirit and story.
Stay with us after the performance for a special opportunity to engage
with the artists where we'll explore the creative process behind the
production.
Your questions and reflections are welcome - we look
forward to the conversation!

Kevin Bloody Wilson is one of Australia's most iconic and unapologetic entertainers-a musical outlaw whose songs are as raw as they are hilarious, and whose career has spanned over four decades without ever backing down, toning it down, or selling out.
With multiple platinum albums to his name, Kev's unique brand of politically incorrect comedy and storytelling has earned him not just a cult following, but a legendary status around the globe.
Despite having no formal education beyond the school of hard knocks, Kevin is a master lyricist and a prolific songwriter for other artists, proving that talent, not titles, makes a real artist.
He's performed over 120 shows a year for more than 40 years, packing out theatres from Kalgoorlie to Kansas.
His lyrics might be too spicy for radio, but that's never stopped fans from singing them word-for-word at sold-out gigs. Kev's songs are proudly unfiltered, often outrageous, and always bloody hilarious-exactly the way his fans love them.
From his humble beginnings with a tape recorder in the front bar of a WA pub, to becoming a global comedy institution, Kevin Bloody Wilson remains a one-man phenomenon, a national treasure, and proof that you don't need permission to make people laugh-you just need a guitar, and a DILLIGAF attitude.Kev is not just a comedy institution, he’s a way of life.

CELEBRATING THE SEEKERS – 60 Years is an audio-visual treat, with rare footage and still photos of the group.
His 12-string guitar was an integral part of their sound and being the arranger of the vocal harmonies, he had a unique place in the group.
